Hana and Steven’s rustic, colorful, nature-inspired design was loaded with personal touches and significance for their mid-August wedding. We loved weaving in their intentionally selected colors, fonts and symbolic icons throughout their invitations, all of their day of wedding print pieces, signage, as well as their cocktail napkins, custom cups and stickers that they gave as wedding favors. Each of the six icons holds important meaning to the couple:
🌻 Sunflower
Not only is this the Hana’s favorite flower and the backdrop for their engagement session, but Steven also grows these beauties in his garden and they also used this flower as a symbol on their custom monogram they designed for their Save the Dates
🐸 Frog
A frog appeared on the beach right after Steven proposed to Hana
🪶 Heron
A symbol of Toledo (where the couple resides), but also a nod to their love of birdwatching
🍄🟫 Mushrooms
A cute addition to the nature motif, but the couple likes to look for these on their walks or hikes, and also include in their cooking
❀ Trillium
Another favorite flower of Hana’s and this is the first wildflower that blooms up north in the spring, which is a favorite place that the couple likes to visit
