My Story

Barn 1888 offers a stunning rustic, yet elegant venue to exchange wedding vows, or host your event. An extraordinary setting at a great value for your money. We offer 20 picturesque acres for your ceremony and reception on a historic farm. The barn, originally built in 1888 still maintains the exposed wood beams, weathered plank walls, and a soaring vaulted ceiling displaying the gambrel roof. The farm is located in Hopkins Michigan, centrally located 30 minutes from Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and the Lakeshore.

At Barn 1888, we’ll make sure the vision for your special event becomes a reality and goes off without a glitch. Our Wedding Venue will offer everything you need to create the stunning occasion you and your guests will always remember. Barn 1888 will include the beautiful Gambrel Barn for receptions and events. The Main Barn includes use of the lower level area for cocktails, or even a alternate location to hold your wedding in case of rain. The lower level can also be rented for smaller events. Bathrooms, a Bridal Suite with its own private bathroom, and a prep area for the Caterer's can also be accessed from the Lower Level too. Our grounds offer many sites for an outside ceremony including our Chapel Gardens which is new for 2021.Tours are available by appointment to view the Venue, please inquire on date availability for 2023 & 2024.
